According to a partially declassified document, a meeting of January 22nd 1962, followed by the recently expanded Group (SGA), a high-level administrative committee, accused of overthrowing the Cuban government, included a discussion on various opportunities to take over Soviet aircraft, reports “Sputnik International” Transmission Periscope.
The DGGG group, which officially included Attorney General Robert Kennedy, CIA Director John McCone, National Security Adviser McGeorge Bundy and Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Lyman Lemnitzer, as well as State Secretary Dean Rusk and President Kennedy himself.
The document fragment lists various Soviet aircraft, including MiG-17 and MG-19, as well as military transport of Il-14 goods, and how long it would take to replicate them to cope with distant and/or close to the exam.

The document also explains why Soviet planes are so desirable, including their possible use of false attacks against The US to justify an American military response to Moscow.
“There is the possibility that such an aircraft can be used in a fraud operation designed to confuse enemy aircraft in the air, to launch an unexpected attack on enemy installations or in a provocation operation where Soviet aircraft would appear to attack the US or friendly installations in order to provide an excuse for the intervention of US “, the document says.
