Prisoners in Albania are using new methods of introducing drugs and mobile phones into cells. The use of pigeons for the introduction of drugs has already been turned into a trend.
A white dove is bound in two bags, and weed is placed inside it. There are two pigeons that have been discovered so far, carrying cannabis and one of them has been caught in the Lezha prison. Besides drugs, pigeons have also become telephone carriers.
But how does the transportation of drugs and mobile phones operate through doves?
These pigeons we see in the photos are trained to transport “porosi”. This is accomplished by keeping the pigeons for a long time at the same location and giving them food.
The pigeons then drive them away from their stay and take them to a place near prisons, giving them no food. It is there that pigeons are tied to their feet bags of drugs, which are then taken to the prison cell where they are fed.
Family members often place pigeons in prisons as a gift for relatives. Just by connecting them to the window and feeding them for several months, pigeons are taught to return to the same place if they are removed.
