As said in the 94-page report, “these cities are not only the main catalysts for economic and tourism growth, but also the locations where innovations, new jobs and new initiatives”.

100 chosen cities are the main ones in their regions, and the ranking is based on data as the number of international visits lasting at least 24 hours.

There is no Albanian city and no former Yugoslav region on this list.

The ten most visited cities in the world are: Hong Kong (26.6 million visitors per year), Bangkok (21.2 million), London (19.2 million), Singapore (16.6 million), Makao (15.4 million), Dubai (14.9 million), Paris (14.4 million), New York (12.7 million), Shenzeni (12.6 million), and Kuala Lumpuri (12.3 million), broadcast Telegraph.

As seen, the world's focus has shifted to Asia, while there are only two Europeans on the list of ten most visited cities and one from North America, it broadcasts Telegrafi.

The report notes that 1.2 billion business trips and tourism occur annually in the world and that 46 percent of them occur in cities on the list of 100 most visited countries.

East Asian growth also shows that in 2010 there were 34 Asian cities on the list, and today there are 41. And this trend is continuing.

Europe is the second continent of 29 cities. North America and South America have 13 cities, while the Middle East and Africa participate in 11 cities.

The ten most desirable European cities, besides London and Paris in the first countries, are also: Rome (9.3 million visits), Istanbul (9.1 million), Prague (8.1 million), Barcelona (7.0 million), Milan (6.7 million), Amsterdam (6.3 million), Antalya (6.1 million), and Vienna (5.8 million).
