Trade deficit up

The data from foreign trade in Kosovo points to a more relaxed trade deficit for (1.4%) in September 2017, in proportion to the same period in 2016, worth 214.0m euros compared to the deficit of 211.0m euros in 2016. Export covers import (13.7%).
Exporting goods in September 2017 had a value of 34.1m euros, while importing 248.1m euros is an increase of (57.4%) for export, as well as (6.6%) for imports compared to the same period in 2016.
According to key export groups data: (38.0%) exports made up basic metals and articles from them, (14.1%) mineral products, (9.8%) prepared foods, drinks and tobacco, (9.6%) plastic, ego and articles from them, (8.9%) plant products, (3.1%) skin and articles of them, (2.5% text and text articles, etc.
While according to key import groups data: (15.1%) of imports make up mineral products, (13.0%) prepared foods, drinks and tobacco, (11.5%) basic metals and products from them, (10.5%) machinery, mechanical and electrical equipment, (8.0%) transport tools, (7.1%) chemical industry products, (6.7%) plastic,go and articles from them, (51%) text and text articles.
Kosovo exports to EU-28 countries reached 8.9m euros, or about (26.4%) of total exports, with an increase of (53.1%). The main partners for export of goods to the EU are: Germany (7.0%), Great Britain (3.5%), Netherlands (3.3%), Italy (2.3%), etc.
Kosovo imports from EU-28 countries were around 103.7m euros, or (41.8%) of total imports, with an increase of (2.0%). The higher share imports were from: Germany (12.0%), Italy (8.8%), Poland (2.6%), Greece (2.5%) etc.
In September 2017, Kosovo's exports with CEFTA countries reached 16.7m euros, either (49.0%) of total exports, with an increase of (57.4%). Key partner for export from CEFTA countries are: Albania (17.0%), Macedonia (15.2%), Serbia (9.5%), Montenegro (5.1%).
While imports from CEFTA countries in September 2017 reached 74.6m euros, or 30.1%) of total imports, with an increase of (13.0%). The highest share countries for import were: Serbia (16.2%), Macedonia (5.5%), Albania (5.2%) and B&H (2.5%).
Kosovo exports with other countries reached 8.3m euros, or (24.6%). As the most important partner in these export countries, it is worth mentioning: India (15.5%) and Switzerland (5.6%).
While Kosovo's imports with other countries reached 69.7m euros, or (28.1%). The highest share countries for import in this group were: China (9.2%) and Turkey (8.1%)
