The president of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, has been hosting the Senate of Madagascar's deputy head, Amido, with whom he has talked about the possibility of deepening co-operation between the two states.
President Thaci has stressed that Kosovo is a factor of stability throughout the region, promoting dialogue and peace.
He has informed Deputy Chairman Amido of the process of consolidating our citizenship on the international stage, stressing that Kosovo's recognition and membership in international organisations remain the priority.
According to a presidency communique, Thaci has sought the recognition of Madagascar, thus joining most UN member states, which have already recognised Kosovo's independence.
On the other hand, the deputy chairman of the Madagascar Senate, Ammido, has stressed that his state is interested in co-operating with Kosovo in all areas.
