Canadian police have confirmed that they are investigating possible terrorist acts after multiple incidents in Edmonton, Alberta, on Saturday evening.
According to police, a police official who was controlling traffic at a Canadian Football League football match was hit by a fast vehicle and then attacked violently.
A man in the van then struck four pedestrians and was arrested two hours later after being pursued by police.
Police have stressed that a flag of Islamic State (ISIS) has been found on one of the vehicles, the BBC writes.
The police officer has been stabbed several times by the suspect who later fled the scene on foot.
