Shpend Ahmeti: No Return of the Old Model

The Vetevendosje movement under the election campaign has held a rally with residents of Matti 1 -- with whom several candidates of this Communist Assembly -- from this neighbourhood, Sylejman Pireva, Fatban Bunnjak -- were introduced, as well as Union Bea. Pristina municipality chairmanial candidate Shpend Ahmeti vowed that in the next term, they will make Pristina's owner citizen.
In Pristina today we talk about city problems, but not corruption, because we fought it from the first day, and we installed other governing practices. From postwar until now, our citizen has experienced two models of government - the model until 2013 - with fun, corruption, crime, and nepotism; as well as the model after 2013 with development, prosperity, transparency and equality. There will be no return of the old model, but there will be empowerment of our Vetevendosje model, with the secure victory even at the Municipal Assembly”, Ahmeti said.
While MP Dukagjin Gorani said Pristina's continued degradation was halted in 2013, when the citizen entrusted rule to Vetevendosje.
“Today, this common social order in Pristina is symbolized by Shpend. Civilized and well thought-out government. This government, I wish we could distribute it all over the country. Once we have Vetevendosje in Pristina, we must multiply and make it standard for all other municipalities”, Gorani stressed.
This gathering also discussed the projects for the neighborhood of Matti 1, such as the correction of the school court “Independence”, construction of the new school, construction of the community-based new nest, building the grounds for sport and stock.
