Sentenced journalist for “terrorist criminal”

The Wall Street Journal has said that one of its reporters has been sentenced to two years and a month in prison for terrorist propaganda in Turkey. The charges follow an article published in 2015 in The Wall Street Journal about a conflict between the Kurdish Army and government forces, writes relief.
The American newspaper has defended the article by calling it balanced, while the convicted journalist has said she will file complaints.
Meanwhile, Mesale Tolu, the German gazer from Turkey, is also accused of terrorism propaganda, she has appeared before the court in Istanbul on 11 October.
