Foreign shipments to Kosovo have reached the figure of 420m euros in the January-July period of 2017, marking an increase of 40m euros compared to last year, Kosovo Central Bank beaches show.
In July alone, foreign remittances in Kosovo had amounted to 60m euros, which, compared to July 2016, had grown for more than two million euros.
In 2016, remittances from foreigners were counted at 691m euros, compared to 665.5m euros a year ago.
According to the latest census in 2015, Kosovo has a population of 1.67 million. More than 700,000 Kosovars live abroad, about 35% of them reside in Germany, according to official data.
