McAllister urges Kosovo to engage in rule of law, dialogue with Serbia

European Integration Minister Donus Hoxha has met in Strasbourg, Euro-EP David McAllister, chairman of the Commission for Foreign Affairs.
At the meeting, Hoxha noted current developments in the country and the region, as well as achievements, government challenges and priorities as the integration process, implementation of the SAA, economic development and regional co-operation.
Minister Hoxha also discussed with euro deputy the process of dialogue and normalisation of relations with Serbia as part of the Euro integration agenda.
“Kosovo is committed to fulfilling all obligations emerging from the SAA, but other obligations guaranteeing acceleration of the integration process, but including involvement in enlargement plans”, Minister Hoxha stressed.
McAllister stressed that Kosovo is part of the European perspective of the Western Balkans and asked Minister Hoxha that Kosovo focus and work hard in fulfilling its obligations in two key areas, the rule of law and the dialogue with Serbia, as well as other issues required by the EU, so that Kosovo can show its commitment and seriousness regarding the European perspective.
