The Kosovo government has denied Serbia's Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic's statements, according to which the Republic of Suriname has drawn recognition of the state of Kosovo.

Halil Matosi media adviser from Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj's cabinet told Radio Free Europe, that reports between Surinna's state are good and there is no withdrawal of the connoisseur as claimed.

There is no recognition or appeal to the International Law. There may be frozen relations, respectively, attracting diplomatic staff to what Suriname has not had diplomatic relations with Kosovo (advantage in Kosovo). The retreat is speculation. Kosovo and Suriname have not frozen reports and that Kosovo has excellent reports with all countries that have recognised its independence”, Matoshi said.

It was Serbia's Foreign Minister, Ivica Dacic, who had declared to the media in Belgrade that the Suriname government had informed Serbia that it has drawn recognition of Kosovo's independence.

Daciq said at a press conference that he was informed of last night by Suriname's Foreign Minister, while official announcement has arrived at night.

Suriname has recognised Kosovo's independence on June 8, 2016. This country is located in South America, with a surface of 163,820 square miles [1,820 sq km] and over 550 thousand inhabitants.

Since declaring independence on February 17th 2008, Kosovo 114 countries recognized him.
