A Kosovo Democratic Party candidate for head of Pristina, Lirak Celiaj, in Pristina's Dardania neighbourhood, in which the children are involved, has cost them a fine to get the Democratic Party of Kosovo back on track.
The electoral panel for Ances and Parashtesa (PZAP) has imposed the fine on many of the 3,500 euros for involvement in children's campaign.
This fine, The PDK is commanded to pay it in 15 days from the day of admission of the decision “under threat of completion”.
A complaint by BIRN and Internea Kosova to a political candidate spot for Pristina head PDK that has circulated on the social network “Facebook” has resulted in the pronunciation of a ticket of 3,500 euros due to the involvement of persons under the age of 18.
PZAP has found that the PDK has not been brought in line with the electoral arrangement regulating this issue and, as such, imposed the fine despite the PDK-led reasoning that children are accidentally involved in camera footage of a pile of debris.
B The INR has consistently filed complaints at PZAP, while only in general elections as a result of BIRN complaints have declared 33 thousand euros in fines against various political subjects.
Regarding the use of children in election campaigns, the ombudsman has sometimes been alarmed.
The Democratic Party of Kosovo against the PZAP decision may complain at the Supreme Court of Kosovo.
