At today's government meeting, we talked about management and control of stray dogs.
The government approved today the Proposal of the Veterina and Food Agency for Management and Control of the Twin Dogs.
Ramush Haradinaj said the issue of wandering dogs has become an alarming topic, while later read AVUK's proposal.
“According to this decision all municipalities are obliged to declare emergency situations and to take measures to treat the wandering dogs”, Haradinaj said.
Under the decision, if municipalities do not have means to treat stray dogs, they should apply for these government tools.
Treating wandering dogs will make AVUK, while responsibility for this treatment rests with municipalities.
