This, if confirmed, is a big deal. Serbia is saying Suriname has drawn recognition of Kosovo. Technically, it is Serbia's recognition of Kosovo. Experts think the recognition cannot be withdrawn, but it may be that any state expresses sovereignty over a” territory, Lindsay says.

The British professor, who deals with the Balkans, has written on Twitter that the issue of recognition is “political issue, not judicial issue”.
