Erdogan has bad news for the US, seriously threatening him

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on October 12th that if the US does not accept Turkey as it is “then we do not need it”. “We are not a tribal state. We are state of the Republic of Turkey and you will accept it. If you don't, then I'm sorry, but we don't...

We are not a tribal state. We are state of the Republic of Turkey and you will accept it. If you don't, then I'm sorry, but we don't need you”, Erdogan said, amid the diplomatic crisis over visas between Ankara and Washington, reports “Hurriyet Daily News”, Periscopi broadcast.

He again criticised the US's reluctance to sell weapons to Turkey, while instead “offered free weapons to terrorist organisations”.

Erdogan also reiterated his claim that it was US Ambassador to Ankara John Bass, who sparked the current visa suspension crisis.

Allow me to be very clear, the person who caused this is the ambassador here. It is unacceptable that the US has sacrificed a strategic partner like Turkey for an alleged ambassador”, he said.

“If an ambassador to Ankara rules the United States of America, it is a shame,” he added.

Erdogan also said Ankara would stay behind its decision to mutually suspend visa services with Washington “if the US secretary of state and president defend the decision of Ambassador”./Periscopi/
