Catalan separatists call for withdrawal of money from banks

In addition to supporting independence, the movement aims to protest the imprisonment of leaders of both movements, Jordi Sanchez (ANC) and Jordi Cuixart (Omnium), as well as abandoning Catalonia by businesses.
Sanchez and Ciixart were arrested Monday on charges of inciting the uprisings.
The conflict between Barcelona and Madrid deteriorated yesterday, following the Spanish government's statement that it would take procedures to suspend Catalonia's autonomy after Catalan President Carles Puigdemon refused to accept the independence decision.
