The most active MP in Vetevendosje's campaign, Albin Kurti, has named yesterday's local elections as a surprise to Vetevendosje, despite doubling the outcome compared to the 2013 elections.
Kurti says these VV results will be treated with self-critics and that it will reflect on action strategies, writes Periscopi.
He has also congratulated six Vetevendosje candidates who have already secured the runoff.
Kurti's complete comment:
Dear and sympathetic, dear Movement activists.
The result of the 2017 local elections was nearly double that of local elections four years ago. On November 3, 2013, we entered the runoff only in the capital and then as the second. On October 22, 2017, in addition to the capital of Shpend, we are in a runoff in five and perhaps six other municipalities.
However, that result was not what we hoped for, nor was it what we expected. Of course, this should also be treated with self - sacrifice. These days should also be concrete analysis days according to municipalities and days of reflection on strategies and actions: what the weaknesses of our organization are and how we can fix them; what are the shortcomings of our legalisation and how we can meet them.
Let me wholeheartedly congratulate Basri Kodra, Stay Kastract, Aye Potter, Sami Kurtesh, Mytaher Haskuka and Shpend Ahmeti on the runoff, I wish even Besim Muzaqi would arrive at the runoff.
These municipalities are half of Kosovo. Let's work with all our capacity for these municipalities to move forward on the road to development and become a model for all of Kosovo.
