Three people lose their lives during celebrations of Mexico World Cup victory

A 19-year-old girl is among three people who lost their lives in Asphyxia during celebrations of Mexico's World Cup victory held Tuesday in Mexico City.
Other victims are a 48-year-old woman and a 44-year-old man. According to capital health authorities, they lost their lives after large crowds took to the streets to celebrate Mexico's 2-0 victory over Ecuador, writes BBCPeriscope broadcast.
The city government announced that over a million people gathered, mainly near the monument Angel of Independence (Angel de la Independance) in the centre of Mexico City, to celebrate Mexico's qualifications in the direct elimination of the World Cup, its first success since 1986.
Mexico City Mayor Clara Brugada, expressed the most honest “condolences for victims' families and promised support for them in the coming days.
Health authorities announced that emergency teams responded to three people found unconscious at various points along the Paseo de la Reforma boulevard before being rushed to the hospital. Unfortunately, all three lost their lives.
