Paredes Break Silence After World Final

Argentina's midfielder, Leandro Paredes, has reacted for the first time after Spain's 1-0 defeat in the World Cup final and numerous criticisms it received for involvement in the post-game clash.
Paredes published a message on social networks, where he chose not to comment on the incident that led to the red card and FIFA investigation, but focused on pride for the team and the World Travel.
For the way we fought to the end and for all that we achieved together. It was not the outcome we wanted, but we will return stronger. ”
Despite his message, Paredes continues to be at the center of the controversy, notes Periscope.
He has been sharply criticised for acting after the recent whistle, as he got involved in the clash with Spain's players.
FIFA has opened a disciplinary investigation into the incident, while final decisions regarding possible sentences are expected.
The midfielder's behaviour has also prompted strong reactions from analysts and former footballers, who have described his move as unacceptable and harmful to Argentina's image.
