MPJD: Delays at Croatia-Serbia border were triggered by implementation of the EES system, the situation has now stabilised

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspore reports that, after waitings and long columns reported during the day at the Bayakovo border point, on the border between Croatia and Serbia, the situation has now stabilised and circulation is developing without long delays.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspore, through the Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo in Croatia, has been in constant communication with competent border authorities, “s which have confirmed that the temporary driving slowdown was caused mainly by the implementation of the EES System (Entry/Exit System), which has brought additional border control procedures”, the announcement said.
In order to provide support to our fellow countrymen, the ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo in the Republic of Croatia, Mr. Martin Berishaj, along with the Embassy staff, visited the Bayakovo border checkpoint today, where he met with our fellow countrymen who were on the run, said the report. /Periscope/
