Misethic criticises the Special People's Lawyer: In 6 years, you contacted Thaci's defense.

Former President Hashim Thaci's defence lawyer, Luka Misetiq, has reacted to statements by the Ombudsman of Specialised Chambers, Pietro Spera, who in a video published today spoke of his role in overseeing detention conditions.
In the video, Spera said that during the exercise of his mandate, he has offered the detainees the possibility of private and confidential meetings, stating that some have agreed to meet with him, while others have not.
After this statement, Misethic reacted via the social network “X”, questioning the way this mandate was exercised.
According to him, although Spera describes himself as an independent authority for monitoring and protecting the basic rights of the accused, he has never contacted Hashim Thaci's defence team over the past six years.
Misetic has also made a comparison with Kosovo's ombudsman, Naim Celaj, for whom he said he has repeatedly been in communication with defence under his monitoring activities.
“While the ombudsman The DHSK says its mandate is to establish, protect and independently defend the basic rights of the accused, he has not contacted Hashim Thaci's lawyers once in six years. By contrast, Republic of Kosovo Ombudsman Naim Celaj has actively contacted as part of his monitoring efforts”, Misetic wrote in “X”.
