"This will be a catastrophe": What is Trump preparing for the giant holiday on July 4th?

Temperatures close to 100 degrees, a large security device and clouds of potentially dangerous smoke from a record show of fireworks are escalating concerns about July 4th celebrations on National Mall - an event President Donald Trump has already politicised as the"most spectacular round-up from all of RRUMP".

With the days of Saturday's celebration away, the production company that is building the physical camera for the biggest event of the country's 250th anniversary was actively recruiting professional aid in crowd management Wednesday, according to a person familiar with company planning, which, like others interviewed for this article, was given anonymity to address a topic they were not authorised to talk about. Numerous sources familiar with event production expressed concern for MS NOW that the same organisers after the U.S. State Fair, which has attracted visible small crowds, are also producing the celebration of July 4th -- an event that happens every year, but usually without the security measures required because of the president's participation, writes MS.now, broadcast Periscope.

An organiser working on the construction of the event rejected scepticism about the event.

"I don't think it's too ambitious - we built it knowing reality,"said the organizer.

"I think he will be satisfied,"went on, referring to the president.

The organiser also noted the success of attracting several thousand football fans at Wednesday's evening party to watch the US match in the same national Mall environment organised by the group.

Weather forecasting won't help. Saturday's maximum temperature is expected to reach 100 degrees, with a much higher heat index than this and a storm-like opportunity at night. And because of a talk planned by Trump, which is expected to last about 45 minutes, the show of fireworks has been postponed until 11:00 - almost two hours later than usual.

The"will be approximately 107 degrees outside, and I will go and give a very long speech just to show I can do anything,"said Trump in North Dakota on Thursday.

Heat also raises a logistics problem: ensuring that there is enough water for the crowd. Organiser working on construction told MS NOW that more than 500,000 bottles of water are already available, with hundreds of thousands of others arriving before Saturday, along with large, large, air - conditioned"

The show itself, as the president declared in the Social Truth, will also be"GIGAND"More than 850,000 fireworks will be launched in the sky over Washington from 10 countries for approximately 40 minutes, accompanied by American pop songs such as “Dont Stop Belivin” of Yourney and “Sweet Caroline” and Neil Diamond. By comparison, the typical July 4th show in Washington lasts about 20 minutes and reportedly includes some 20,000 pyrotechnics. Pyrotecniko, the company that is co-production of Saturday's show, used 9,800 fireworks in this year's Superbowl production.

The “Plan is to be the largest show of fireworks ever shown in the United States and the world, so you know it's massive”, said Pyrotecnico CEO Stephen Vitale. We're gonna break a world record. ”

But air quality experts said that the record rate, combined with weather, creates a perfect storm for vulnerable populations such as the elderly and the asthmatic. Organisers usually rely on the wind to remove smoke from the city. But extreme heat and cloud and rain conditions can potentially create a “overlap, blocking smoke near the earth.

“will be a catastrophe”, Dr. Anthony Wexler, director of the Air Quality Research Center at UC Davis. “will create many particles in the atmosphere, and those particles will contain many toxic metals. ”

Some of those particles in the air are likely to be 2.5 micrometers or less in width, Wexler said, allowing them to enter the lungs more easily and cause serious diseases in both the short and the long term.

We're talking about the elderly, we're talking about people with asthma”, Wexler said. “This thing can be very bad for them.”

He encouraged vulnerable populations to leave the city or, if not an option, to stay inside and use a filter HEPA. Experts have cautioned that those outside should wear masks.

Vitale said the weather is always considered in planning these events. When MS NOW asked about air quality considerations, Vitale said: "We're not worried about that. "

Freedom 250 notes that air quality will decline and encourage participants to take precautions.

Health risks are just one of the questions that hang on Saturday. Another is whether the operation that organises it is able to fulfill its task.

The production company, Event Strategics Inc., has deep ties to the president: Individuals associated with the firm have organized and produced Trump gatherings since he launched his first campaign in 2015, closely co-operating with the Secret Service to secure massive space in nature - including Ellise for the January 6, 2021 rally, which preceded the Capitol attack. She also worked at last month's UFC match in South Lawn and co-ordinated last summer's military parade in Pennsylvania Avenue.

Two sources known with the production team told the MS NOW that"knows of the organisation of the"gatherings, but that the vast space required for the typical crowd coming to National Mall for the July 4th annual celebration will present security challenges.

A special source known as the Secret Service's planning for major events involving the president said the scope for Saturday's rally would also have to exceed that of major political conventions.

The event will conclude a one-year commemoration of the country's half-center, originally intended to be run by America250, a two-party commission founded and sponsored by Congress in 2016. But over the past year, an external organisation, Freedom 250, led by Trump political allies, took over planning for the most prominent events - pushing open pro-Trump political messages and employing the Event Strategy.

Trump has described Saturday as one of the most monumental events of his presidency, putting pressure on his aides and harassment of high turnout.

This optimism about the size of the crowd is far from universal. Weather and security can discourage participation. Trump's speech in June at the Trade Center attracted a small turnout and upset the president, who is always"the optical man", said a person near the White House for MS NOW.

"He's a producer", the person said. “From this little thing of a tube and curtain that wasn't in the right place, or a speaker didn't work, or had a echo, he's a critic of his stage. He will criticize not only the act but also the audience and the reception. ”

However, staff “cannot create a crowd”, said the person familiar with the way they think inside the White House.

The only weakness is that, in everything we do, Trump is the central point”, they said.
