Kamberi seeks Serbian minister's dismissal after Kosovo's declaration of ethnic cleansing

Albanian MP in Serbia's Parliament, Shaip Kamberi, has reacted sharply after the minister's scandalous statement on Local Power, Sneéana Paunovic.
She has declared that “if it were in Slobodan Milosevic's place in 1998, would ethnically cleanse Kosovo”.
For this, Kamberi has said he will initiate its dismissal.
“On the contrary, silence and lack of action will be understood as the adoption of its declaration and as the official position of the entire government.”, Kamberi has said.
He has said the fascist statements of Serbian government ministers show best that Milosevic's Serbia continues to remain the same, calling it unacceptable and calling for immediate institutional response.
For this reason, today, through an official document, I have requested reaction from all relevant international embassies in Belgrade.”, Kamberi wrote.
He has said such a statement cannot be considered isolated.
According to him, such statements are the result of systematic denial of war crimes, legalisation of convicted war criminals, relating the decisions of international courts and the revision of history.
For Albanians in the Presevo Valley, such statements by representatives of state institutions constitute an additional source of uncertainty. When a government member talks about ethnic cleansing, members of minority communities rightly ask what security they can expect from these institutions. ”, Camber said.
As a candidate country for membership in the European Union, according to him, Serbia has the obligation to respect and protect minority communities' rights.
“Such statements are in direct opposition to these obligations and exceed any democratic standards on which the European Union is based.”, Kamberi has said.
