IKKPK: 63 measles cases in Kosovo, 11 new ones over last week

Kosovo National Institute of Public Health ( The IKKPK has announced that from April 16th to July 13th, 2026 have confirmed a total of 63 fruit cases in Kosovo.
According to the IKSC, 11 new cases were reported during the past week alone.
The largest number of cases have been recorded in Pristina on 19 occasions, followed by Ferizaj with 12, Fushe Kosova with 9 and Kacanik with 8 cases. Lipjan has recorded three cases, while Vushtrria, Enhance and Obiliki have two cases. One case has been reported, Gjilan, Drenas, Decani, Skenderaj, Shtrpca and Vitita.
In view of the high efficiency of measles, the risk of spreading it to the community, and the complications producing measles, IKPK calls on parents and stewards to verify the status of vaccination of their children and provide vaccines according to the regular communication calendar at family medical centres.
