NATO condemns Russia's cyber attacks: Threatening Allied Security

NATO has strongly condemned cyber activities attributed to Russia, labeling them a serious threat to the security of member states and coalition partners.
In a statement published on Monday, the Alliance stresses that Russia is exploiting its cyber ecosystem to crack down on critical infrastructure and government institutions of allied countries.
“We strongly condemn Russia's continued malicious cyber activities aimed at NATO allies and partners. These actions pose a threat to our security”, the statement says.
NATO calls on Moscow to halt these destabilising activities immediately, stressing that they clash with international norms of responsible behaviour of states in cyberspace.
Meanwhile, the European Union has expanded the package of sanctions against Russia, including individuals and subjects who, according to Brussels, are involved in carrying out cyber attacks on behalf of Moscow. /Periscopi/
