Germany: Two 13-year-old girls seriously injured, 16-year-old minor arrested

Two 13-year-old girls have been badly injured, and a 16-year-old suspect has been arrested after an incident at a school in Upper Bavarina, Germany.
Police said a major operation was under way in the Welfen-Gymnasium middle school area in the small town of Schongau, writes BBC.
The suspect carried a knife, as well as a firearm, said the police, and they believe they acted alone.
Neither of the girls is in critical condition for life, but the number of other persons involved and the severity of their injuries are currently being clarified, police added.
A police spokeswoman had earlier told the AFP news agency that it was not clear what weapon was used in the attack and refused to confirm reports of a knife attack.
The suspect's identity is unknown and it is not clear whether they were related to school.
Bavari's interior minister, Joachim Herrman, told German public broadcaster Bayerischer Rundfunk (BR) that he believed the two girls had been slaughtered. This wasn't confirmed by the police. /Periscope/
