Blocking exiles at Croatia-Serbia border, Albanian adviser to Croatian government details

Kosovo's large number of exiles reportedly have remained blocked at the Bayakovo-Lipovac border crossing at the border between Croatia and Serbia since 200 p.m., unable to continue their journey.
Ermina Perlaskaj, adviser to Croatia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, told Klonkosova.tv that the reason for such long expectations at the Bajakov border point- Batrovc is the major influx of travelers during the tourist season, and added that this point represents for many travelers the first point of the Schengen zone.
“The main reason for long columns on the border between Croatia and Serbia is the peak summer tourist season and tourist shift over the weekend. The Bayakove-Batrovc border checkpoint remains the most busy, as through it exceeds the largest number of travelers from Serbia, Northern Macedonia, Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey towards Croatia and Western European countries. It should be remembered that Croatia is part of the Schengen zone, which means that for many travelers this border point represents the first entry into Schengen space. For this reason, Croatian border authorities conduct detailed audits of documents and entry conditions, which extends the time of processing each vehicle and creates long columns, especially during weekends and months of summer, when the flow of travellers is too large”, she told Klonkosova.tv. /Periscope/
