Bajrami hands over criminal gossip for deposit in Pec's Spherka

The LDK's re-elected MP, Hykmete Bajrami, has indicated that she has delivered criminal speculation concerning the situation in the Peja Spherka dump, which has been involved for several days.
The criminal charge has been handed over to State Chief Prosecutor Zejrullah Gashi and Special Prosecutor Chief Prosecutor Blerim Isufaj.
Bajrami has sought to investigate the responsibility of institutions and officials who have had competencies for management and supervision of the depot, assessing that the situation poses serious risks to the health of citizens and the environment.
According to her, for more than a decade, after the completion of management and maintenance of the Italian KFOR contingent, the remains of five municipalities have not been addressed according to sanitation standards.
She has said that waste has not been buried or covered with soil, creating a large heap that has been polluting air, land, and water for years.
Because of the fire, huge amounts of smoke and dangerous substances that directly endanger the lives and health of citizens” are being released, Bajrami has declared.
According to her, the depot is currently managed by the Kosovo Deposit Management Company, whose sole shareholder is the Government of Kosovo.
Through criminal outcry, Bajrami has requested the investigation of the current deposit operator, the Ministry of Environment, the Government of Kosovo, and any other institution that may have been responsible over the years.
It has also called for investigation into whether there has been inaction or misuse of official office, as well as responsibility for endangering public health, causing general risk and environmental damage.
Bajrami has said he expects the prosecution to address the case as a priority and that each person or institution responsible to face legal responsibility.
