Selimi: US has given clear message that Kosovo is on track, relations are at the lowest point

Former Foreign Affairs Minister Petrit Selimi has said that reports between Kosovo and the United States of America have never been at such a low point as they are now.
Selimi, said Kosovo is receiving successive messages from the US government that it is not on the right track.
“The relationship between Kosovo and the United States in Kosovo's modern history has never been to the lowest point, we can adorn it, we can claim something else, but the truth is brutal. Kosovo is still in the process where dialogue for strategic agreements has been suspended, the US has sent ambassadors to many other countries in the Balkans, but not to Kosovo. The American Ambassador or duty commissioner, a few days before the election, comes out with a clear message, an editorial, saying Kosovo is leaving a train in American energy investments in the Balkans, so we have text messages after messages, from the American government that are not on a good track and Kosovo is not on a good track. It's very important. That we do not deceive ourselves and that is not only the result of the events in America, but it is the result of our behaviour in Kosovo”, he said of the ego.
Selimi also expressed concern about the low staff at the Kosovo Embassy in Washington.
“Now four years, our embassy in Washington has less staff than that in Sofia or in Tirana, assess whether it is normal for a state like Kosovo to have only two, three diplomats in Washington now five times”, he said.
Former Prime Minister Selimi has also talked about low citizens' participation in Sunday's elections, saying frequent elections affected non-participation.
The “Trive elections within a year, yet it was too much and this message was clearly told by citizens as well. I believe another topic was present in the citizens' decision not to come out, that the economic crisis, the social crisis that is creating a civic amulet, a crisis even in our belief in institutions has resulted in the lowest turnout”, Selimi said.
