North Mitrovica municipality: We didn't consult the boarding part of the LVV campaign.

The North Mitrovica municipality announced today the establishment of new billboards, declaring that this activity, as they describe it, was neither warned nor co-ordinated with the legitimate and legitimate representatives of this local self-government.
Just four days before the extraordinary parliamentary elections held in Kosovo, and in the middle of the pre-election campaign, signs of"Zoran Djindjic"and"Isa Boletini"were placed.
On the ground, we found Vetevendosje Movement deputy Victory Pacolli, as well as Aida Ferati out of Vetevendosje, deputy head of the North Mitrovica OS.
In an interview for KoSSev, Pacolli declared that northern Mitrovica citizens were familiar with the project.
She said between 70 and 80 street names, or street signs, will be replaced.
They also claim that the North Mitrovica municipality, its chairman Milan Radojevic, has been informed of this, respectively.
However, the municipality was announced and stated it was not informed of the event.
"Remember that the North Mitrovica Community Assembly made a decision to abolish the decision to appoint roads, alleys and other public sites on the territory of the municipality on January 30th, 2026. "
Also, as they claim, appropriate legal procedures have been initiated on the case, and the lawyer has handed over the case to the competent court for further procedures.
According to the North Mitrovica municipality, setting up signs with street names at the moment when the case is in front of the tribunal is against the law and, as they say, is part of the Vetevendosje Movement's campaign.
And another indication that central authorities do not respect their laws and take on the responsibilities of local self-government, contrary to the will of citizens of the Northern Mitrovica municipality.
“We especially stress that imposing the will of the central institutions on issues for which there is no local consensus and clear legitimacy is acting contrary to the principles of local self-government, democratic decisionmaking and respect of the will of citizens”, they declared.
Even though they sent a statement to the media, they did not announce that they would symbolically appear on the ground and cover the"signs. Isa Boletini"and"Zoran ørinić", which was recorded by cameras of several media ready to wait at the scene. However, rags were removed immediately, while police are on duty before these signs.
