Obadiah: LDK to stay in opposition with dignity

Democratic League of Kosovo Chairman Lumir Abdixhiku has stated that, under a political agreement, it is up to the LDK to propose the country's presidential candidate, the name to be proposed would be that of Vjosa Osman.
On the “show, Rubikon” in Klan Kosova, Abdixhiku said the LDK cannot be part of an agreement where a party holds all top state positions, while potential partners have no role in decision making, Periscope broadcasts.
He stressed that prior to discussions on office there should be reconciliation for principles, the governing programme and state orientation.
Much more important than position, it is far more important for us to know what will happen to the Republic of Kosovo in the next four years. Trust me we're not for individual privileges. First Republic, then people. First we talk about principles, schedules and orientation of the Republic, then positions. The LDK will stay in opposition and make a dignified opposition”.
Asked whether Vjosa Osmani would be the LDK's candidate for president if this position were to meet his party, Abdixhiku responded firmly.
If the name of the president from LDK is required, of course it would be Vjosa Osmani. No discussion”
Abdixhiku added that Kosovo has no luxury to lose people with institutional experience and praised the role Osman has exercised at the head of the state.
He also said the time has ended when, according to him, political parties sought votes with one candidate and then made other decisions at the negotiating tables.
