Excavations under ruins in Venezuela in an effort to save relatives

Some 24 hours have passed since earthquakes struck Venezuela, leaving hundreds dead, thousands injured, and thousands of others extinct in ruins.
Despite this, in the coastal town of La Guaira, people are still digging through the rubble with bare hands as they try to reach the stranded neighbors.
Promises of heavy machinery by the government have not yet been realised until residents are complaining about lack of equipment.
“We're trying to help with what we can, but there's a lack of equipment.”, one of the residents said, reports SkyNews.
His team pulled three people out of a building today, while concerned family members waited at the scene.
Another resident criticized the country's institutions.
Could not we call the military? Everybody, come and help. Put them in an armored vehicle and come help people. Find tractors wherever you can.”, he said, while looking for a relative in the ruins.
