US and Iran launch new attacks as ceasefire negotiations stalled

The American Army says it has launched <x0-> surveillance attacks against Iran and has dropped ballistic missiles and fears shot at ships and Gulf countries.

The attacks on the island laughed, on the Strait of Hormuz, were"in response to the attacks attempted by Iran throughout the Middle East", the US Central Command (Centcom), reports BBC, broadcast Periscope.

Iran said it had attacked American bases and helicopters in a"regional location"using rockets and afraid of revenge. Centcom said Tehran had fired two missiles towards Kuwait and three to Bahrain, which were destroyed or infiltrated.

Recent attacks come amid stalled ceasefire negotiations, as talks on an agreement to end the several-month war failed to progress over the weekend.

Centcom added that the attack on Smile Island had targeted an Iranian military ground control station and that the US Army also dropped three fears that had been issued by Iran to the civilian"marines who were justly crossing regional waters".

IRC said the"security breach of the Hormuz Strait will have a high price for the aggressive American army".

Centcom also said Iran had launched"discretion"ballistic missiles to countries in the region. "Two Iranian missiles issued in Kuwait fell short or were broken along the way, and three rockets launched in Bahrain were immediately intercepted by US and Bahrain air defence forces. "

Iran has repeatedly attacked targets in Bahrain and Kuwait, where US military bases are located.

Earlier, Centcom said it hit and disabled a cargo-free oil tanker that was sailing towards Iran as part of Washington's sea blockade in the Strait of Hormuz, which began on April 13th.

An American aircraft fired a Hellfire missile into the M/T engine room with the flag of Botswana after its crew"ignored repeated warnings", she said.

Centcom also published images allegedly showing the moment the tanker was hit on Tuesday.

The escalation comes after US President Donald Trump told his"ulen critics and relax"this week, saying Iran"really wants to make a deal and will be a good deal for the US".

American media reported earlier that Trump had sought changes in terms of a possible peace agreement, after meeting with high aid to discuss extending the framework of a ceasefire.

The changes are related to Hormuz Strait and the removal of Iran-enriched uranium, the BBC's American news partner reported, CBS News - as well as a framework to reopen negotiations on Iran's nuclear programme.

On Monday, Iran's foreign ministry spokesman, Esmail Baghaei, denied that this had been on the table, adding that Washington"was constantly changing his views and was presenting new or contradictory demands".

In her latest statement, Centcom said US forces"implemented deadlock measures against Botswana's M/T Lexie ship, while it was passing through international waters to Kharg"Island.

She said the ship's crew had not implemented the American forces' instructions several times over a 24-hour period”.

The last clash comes as US Secretary of State Marco Rubio appeared publicly before Congress for the first time since the beginning of the war.

The top diplomat testified that American negotiators had not offered Iran the ease of sanctions in exchange for reopening the strait.

For now, all that's been discussed with them is that... Any easing of sanctions is based on conditions, which means it should be in exchange for the reason why these sanctions were imposed in the first place, which is their"nuclear programme, he said.

"The war has ended", he said in another tense exchange with a senator, while lawmakers in the commission questioned the US strategy to end the conflict. /Periscope/
