(2 months ago)Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed on Friday that a three-day ceasefire had been reached with Russia, as part of the US's efforts to negotiate the end of the war more than four years.
Zelensky, in Telegram, also said that each of the two sides would exchange 1,000 war prisoners, with humanitarian issues remaining a top priority in Ukraine, Reuters reports.
“This is why today, within the framework of the American side-mediated negotiation process, we received Russia's agreement to carry out an exchange of prisoners of war in the 1,000 to 1,000”, Zelensky wrote.
A ceasefire will also be imposed on 9, 10 and May 11th”.
