Ukraine hits oil infrastructure in Russia

A Russian oil building is involved in fires in the Black Sea town of Novorossiski, following new fears attacks Ukraine carried out during the night, authorities reported on May 23rd.
Parts of a downcut threat fell into the spaces of a fuel terminal, causing fires in several technical and administrative buildings, Krasnodar's regional operational headquarters said.
Two people were injured, according to the announcement.
According to eyewitnesses, that have published data on social networks, Grusovaya oil terminal, one of the largest oil storage facilities in the Caucasus, including underground and land reservoirs, as well as an object for the transfer of cargo.
The oil industry in Novorossiski is vital for the Russian war economy and is constantly targeted by Ukrainian fears, while Kiev is trying to defend itself in the face of the full invasion initiated more than four years ago by Moscow.
Ukraine has recently intensified attacks on the interior of Russian territory, while the Russian Defence Ministry reported that 348 were down overnight.
These claims are not possible to verify independently.
Russian authorities reported damage from threats in several regions, including in Anapa, on the Black Sea.
Authorities in Perm, located about 1,000 kilometers east of Moscow, also reported an attack on an industrial object that caused fire in a chemical plant.
In Ukraine, the air forces said 102 of the 124 Russian drones issued overnight to the country were hampered.
According to them, a total of 12 hits were recorded in nine locations, while pieces of fallen fears fell into five other locations. / REL/
