Trump announces three-day ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine

As Trump suggests, the ceasefire will begin on May 9th, marking a historic ban on conflict.

“It is my pleasure to announce that there will be a TRE- DITOR (9, 10 May and 11 May) in the war between Russia and Ukraine. The celebration in Russia is for Victory Day, but also in Ukraine, as they were also a major part and factor in World War II. This ceasefire will include suspending all combat activities, as well as an exchange of 1,000 prisoners from each state. This request was made directly by me and I deeply appreciate its acceptance by President Vladimir Putin and President Volodymyr Zelensky. We hope that this will be the beginning of the end of a very long, deadly and bitter war.
