Tolsi Gabbard resigns as director of National Intelligence in Trump administration

Tolsi Gabbard has resigned from the post of National Intelligence Director (DNI) in President Donald Trump's administration.
In his letter of resignation, Gabbard mentioned personal reasons, suggesting that her husband has been diagnosed with an extremely rare form of bone cancer. According to reports, she has informed President Trump of her decision during a meeting held in the Oval Office.
It is expected to officially leave the post on June 30th. Gabbard was appointed head of National Intelligence at the beginning of 2025, following the return of Trump to White House for his second presidential mandate.
