Prizren police warn citizens: Beware of false messages, using for empty bank accounts

The Regional Police Directorate in Prizren has come up with an announcement of citizens, concerning a disturbing phenomenon that is emerging in the area of responsibility, which poses a direct risk to the financial security of citizens.
In all, various citizens have accepted false phone messages, through which it is announced that their bank accounts will be blocked unless they take immediate action.
According to police in these messages, a suspected link (link) is involved, requiring citizens to insert their personal and banking data.
After introducing this data, unauthorized persons are able to access the victims' bank accounts and illegally benefit financial means, namely, their accounts are emptied.
For this reason, police have some advice for citizens:
Do not open suspicious links
Do not click on unknown (links) accepted through SMS or apps.
Protect Personal Data
Do not share passwords, codes, or personal information on unsafe platforms.
Report immediately.
If you suspect fraud, report the case to the police immediately.
