Analyst Adri Nurellar has indicated why VV leader Albin Kurti did not compromise with the opposition for the president's election.
He has suggested that Kurti would be eligible to be prime minister without the Parliament and to be.d. President of the VV.
In his Facebook account, Nurellar wrote that he would thus capture state institutions.
“Kurti knows that even after new elections he won't have the votes to elect the president alone, but he also knows that without it he won't be elected. But until then, he has had no rush for compromise, because he remains prime minister and holds the main levers of executive power. This is precisely why this lingering crisis of new choices is convenient. With an assistant president like Haxhiu, he extends political control through appointments to institutions, diplomacy, boards and key posts.”, he wrote, adding that when the time of compromise comes Kurti has institutions caught with militants.
Even if, after the February 7th elections, compromise comes for the president, the institutional device will have been filled in advance with faithful ones who remain there with mandates set for years (except when caught in legal offenses).”, he wrote.
