Amid mounting tensions, airspace closes in western Iran

Iran's Civil Aviation Organisation announced temporary restrictions on the western part of the country's airspace.
This decision comes at a time of mounting tensions, with reports saying the United States is considering the possibility of renewed military action against Iran as diplomatic efforts continue.
According to the latest Air Mission announcement (NOTAM), all passenger flights on the western part of Iran face severe restrictions.
Currently, only eight airports in Iran are allowed to operate, including Mehrabad Airport in Tehran and the Emam Khomeni airports, as well as airports in Isfahan and Jazd.
At these operational airports, flights are limited to the hour of the day (from sunrise to sunset), and airlines must receive a new permission from the Civil Aviation Organization for each separate flight.
US and Israeli attacks on Iran began in late February. But since April, a Pakistani-brokered ceasefire has been in force.
The parties are developing diplomatic efforts to reach an agreement to conclude the war under Pakistan's mediation.
However, US President Donald Trump has warned that attacks could resume if Tehran fails to respond positively to the American peace proposal. / REL/
