Macro: Europe will not take part in the past <x0) uncertain” in the Hormuz Strait

France's President Emmanuel Macron has said Monday that Europe is building its own security solutions and will not participate in operations to reopen the Hormuz Strait under what he called a vague framework, instead repeating calls for a negotiated reopening.
The Europeans are building our own security solutions. Europeans are taking their fate into their own hands, increasing defence and security spending and building joint solutions", Macron said at the 8th European Political Community Summit in Yerevan, Armenia, which begins Monday.
He said that European security policy has been shaped since 2022 through initiatives such as the European Political Community, support for Ukraine through the Coalition of Constitutional Countries, and a"ad hoc"related to the Hormuz Strait.
Macron stressed that France supports reopening the strait, but added that it will not participate in any operation based on force outside a clear framework.
If the U.S. is ready to reopen Hormuz, that's very good. That's what we've been looking for since the beginning of", he said.
According to him, France favours co-ordinated reopening between Iran and the US as the only sustainable solution to ensure free navigation"without restrictions and tax-free".
