Iran threatens arms-level uranium enrichment as peace talks fail

Iran threatened on Tuesday that it could enrich uranium to the 90% level, suitable for nuclear weapons, if the US resumes military attacks, while peace talks are facing new tensions.
US President Donald Trump stated that the ceasefire had only “one percent chance of” to survive after rejecting Tehran's latest proposal, naming it “totally unacceptable”.
The warning was made by Ebrahim Rezaei, Iranian MP and spokesman of the Commission for National Security and Foreign Policy in the Iranian Parliament, which on the X platform, said the option for enriching uranium on the weapons level would be discussed in parliament.
Meanwhile, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibach gave an ultimatum to Washington, saying the US “has no alternative” in addition to accepting Iran's rights established in his 14-point proposal, otherwise the talks will fail.
Trump later declared that the ceasefire is located in “massive support for life”, as the Iranian Foreign Ministry called US demands “unreasonable”. US media reported that Trump held a meeting Monday with the national security team to discuss the possibility of new attacks on Iran.
At the same time, Israeli media reported that some Israeli citizens had received threatening messages allegedly sent from Iran, warning that they would see the sun in the sky at night”, a phrase interpreted as reference to possible missile attacks or Iranian fears.
The main issue remains enrichment of uranium, a key point in the clash between Iran and Western powers over Tehran's nuclear programme.
