September 16th for The Hague Act, Hamza: Kosovo discontent deepens, Special Court acting as political instrument

Chairman The PDK, Bedri Hamza, has reacted after the renewed delay in declaring the sentence in the case against former KLA leaders, naming the verdict as evidence that the Special Court is deviateing from its mission.
Hamza has estimated that repeated extension of the deadline for the final decision undermines confidence in justice.
The repeated deadline for the final decision in the case against former KLA leaders only reconfirms that the Special Court in The Hague is acting more like a political instrument than a court that is guided by the principles of justice”, he wrote.
According to PDK chairman Hashim Thaci, Kadri Veselini, Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi are continuing to be held in custody through a process that, according to him, is unfair and endless, while prolonged detention has become an unfair punishment.
He has added that the Special Court has lost confidence and has deviated from its mission, increasing citizens' discontent in Kosovo.
“Every day of an unfair process is unacceptable and September 16th is the distant date for ending this injustice”, Hamza stressed.
