Flag KLA in The Hague: Defense lawyers deliver a message through a symbolic picture

International lawyer Annie O'Reilly, part of Kadri Wessel's defence team in Specialised Chambers, has shared a direct reflection on the size and challenges of the trial process in The Hague.
In a public post, it stresses that more than five years after the detention of its clients, the process of Hashim Thaci, Kadri Veselini, Rexhep Selimi and Jakup Krasniqi has already closed, citing this as an extremely difficult case.
For all of us, our personal lives were pushed into a corner while trying to bring this monumentic judgment forward. He requested endless preparation of witnesses, drafts, stress, chaos, uncertainty, and constant rejections, that, to be honest, they were often demoralizing”, writes OʹReilly.
It also mentions personal sacrifices during this process, including the loss of a colleague and the challenges of balancing private life, underlining the intensity of involvement in this case.

However, at the end of its response, O'Reilly expresses pride in the work done and the fact that he was part of this team and the international criminal protection community.
The picture accompanying this post, along with the international defence team, is also seen as the vice president PDK, Ismaili Bridge, which has been part of the defence since the beginning of the process.
