The Islamic Community of Kosovo has announced that the first day of the Kurban Bajram holiday will be marked on Wednesday. According to the announcement, the central manifestation will be held in the Great Mosque, where the festive program begins at 04:25 with the prayer of the dawn. Meanwhile, citizens have started preparations for the holiday by buying the necessary items for the festive table, while the Competition Authority has been activated on the ground for monitoring price movements.

Shopeers, traders reason with the increase in supply prices from other countries, but also dependent on import and lack of local production, which they say directly affects prices at the market.
On the other hand, the Kosovar Competition Authority, in a written reply, stresses that it is preparing the analysis of the basic food basket, which includes 20 essential products, with the aim of monitoring price movement and the assessment of its impact on consumers.
According to them, until now monitoring has been noted that during festive periods companies often apply promotional and discounting bids for various products, with the aim of attracting consumers and boosting market competitiveness. The Competition Authority also warned measures, including the pronunciation of fines up to 10% of the annual circulation of companies allegedly committed violations. /rtk/
