The company denies the risk of red pepper: The amount of pesticide has not entered Kosovo market

The company “Ananas Impex” has reacted after reporting on the presence of pesticides in a quantity of red pepper, claiming that the product mentioned has not been distributed on the Kosovo market and poses no danger to consumers.
In its response, the company stressed that all products are produced, processed and traded in line with legal standards and food safety requirements in force.
“Ananas Impex SH.P.K. Rejecting claims that its products placed in the Kosovo Republic market pose a threat to consumer health”, the statement said.
According to the company, after the Food and Veterinary Agency announced through the RASFF system, full traceability of the tear reported in co-operation with competent authorities has been realised. From verifications, according to the company, it has been found that the amount mentioned is not found and not distributed on the Kosovo market.
The company added that laboratory analyses and additional checks conducted in the products and related tears have resulted in full compliance with food safety standards, without the presence of pesticides over the allowed borders.
Also, according to the statement, official audits conducted by AUV at company facilities and on the ground have not recorded irregularities or grounds for the company's prevention measures.
