CEC: On 16 June, lots are cast for party rankings in balloting

The Central Election Commission will hold on 16 May the withdrawal of lots for the appointment of principal numbers of political subjects on the ballot of early parliamentary elections of June 7th 2026.
This was announced by CEC spokesman Valmir Elezi.
Elez said that attracting the ranking numbers to the ballot is expected to be done by 27 political subjects.
“After the election period for announcing participation in elections by political parties and forming coalitions (1) May 7th), as well as the period for application for certificates from new political subjects (2 May 10th), the total number of political subjects that could be part of early elections is: 27, of them 22 political parties; 3 coalitions; 1 civic initiative; and 1 independent candidate<1>, Elez said.
Under the deadlines approved by the CEC, the election campaign for political subjects and parliamentary candidates, which will last 10 days and 7 hours, will not start immediately after the lots for long numbers on the ballot.
The Central Election Commission has decided that the election campaign period for political subjects and certified candidates will begin on May 28th and end at 6:59 a.m. on June 7th 2026”, Elesi said.
