Ardian Gjini: Local production will be priority, import from Serbia is damaging our businesses

The candidate for prime minister from the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), Ardian Gjini, has raised concerns about the state of local producers, stressing that mass import is seriously damaging the local economy and Kosovo businesses.
Through a reaction following yesterday's meeting in Decani, Djind has said there is nothing more disappointing about a local business than seeing how his job and investment depreciate from unfair competition through uncontrolled imports.
According to him, local stone and gravel producers are facing a serious situation, as dozens of trucks with goods are entering Serbia, directly affecting the weakening of the local economy and damaging production capacities in the country.
Djind has stressed that business concerns, farmers and young people remain at the centre of his governing programme, naming them as guidance for AAK economic policies.
The local production “should and be priority”, Djind has ordered, warning measures to protect and empower Kosovo's economy.
