The activist and former political prisoner from Yunik, Drita Kuci Kastrati

At the age of 69, the activist and former political prisoner Drita Kuci-Kastrati have died.
Drita Kuci, from Junik, was known for her contribution to the national liberation movement during the spring of 1981 and later.
She was co-operater of Ismajl Haradinaj, Jashar Salih, Hasan Ukhramaj, Avdula Hasanmetaj and other patriots.
He acted as an organiser and a participant in timely movements, working as an educator and being one of the central figures on the Decani Committee, also known as the Nationalist Movement of Kosovo and Albanian Brothers (LNÇKVSHJ).
In the wake of the 1981 arrests, Drita Kuci, at the age of 24, was arrested by Yugoslav authorities and sentenced to six years in prison by the then regime.
Drita Kuci-Kastrati was spotted as one of the first women to participate in political organisations against Serbian rule. /Periscope
