19-year-old Albanian asamblist elected in Germany's Bad Homburg

Murat Avdyli has managed to win 8,722 votes in the local elections and has become the youngest assavist in the town of Bad Homburg in the Hessen London, as the CDU candidate.
Murat Avdyli, born September 23rd 2006 in Dobrosec, Drenas, has received 8,722 votes in the 25 March 2026 local elections as a CDU candidate, securing a seat in the assembly of a town of about 54 thousand people.
At the age of 19, he becomes the only Albanian at this assembly and the youngest Asamblist, marking a special achievement for the Albanian diaspora in Germany.
He has emigrated to Germany at the age of 4, educated and engaged in various activities, including football, and continues his studies at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.
